"Little girl why are you crying?
Just because the flowers in your garden are dying?
There's so much you could be doing
And all your neighbours,
Well, they haven't got a clue.
Come on with me, and we'll have a little fun.
It's not too dangerous, yeah, and we won't hurt anyone.
Yeah, we'll cause some havoc between the birds and the bees,
We'll paint the town red and we'll shake the trees
Oh, come with me and I'll show you a good time
All you have to do is a jump and a climb.
Yeah, I'll take you over to the other side of town.
There's so much to do there and everybody wears a crown."
So I've been trying to work on filling my life with sunshine, laughter and love.
Unfortunately, British weather is incredibly unpredictable so it really has had to be more of a metaphorical sunshine than a literal one.
Yes, some days I do struggle with it. There are down days. There are down moments. But I'm working on it. I'm going to keep on working at it until they're gone.
It came to my attention a week or so ago that some people had been calling me crazy. That really hurt, considering that that is such a sore word for me. But I'm turning it round. Why should being called crazy be a negative thing? I'm focusing on the good that it means - being creative, impulsive, daring - they all sound like good qualities if you ask me!!
So anyway, I'm sorting myself out a worry box and a happy box. Whenever I have a worry I put it in the worry box and tuck it out of the way. My therapy lady suggested it as a way to get me to start sleeping again, so I hope that it works!! The happy box was more my idea just now. If you get a box dedicated to worries - then why can't you get a box dedicated to happiness?
I'm pushing forwards. I'm moving on. I'm living my life. We only get one shot at it after all. I've got my head focused on the future - education, travelling, meeting new people, re meeting old friends, building on the relationships I already have. I'm keeping it positive.
God bless xx
